A beautiful and sunny day over labor day weekend and my first trip to DUMBO.
Pictures from the rooftop of my apartment on a day where the clouds cast strong shadows over the skyline.
A walk that started in SoHo and ended in Battery Park City watching the sunset.
A hot summer day in Greenwich Village turned the fountain at Washington Square Park into a public pool. Children and adults alike gathered around the water to cool off.
The sun was just peaking over buildings creating the perfect lighting to capture water drops in the air.
I left my apartment at 4pm on a Saturday. I had originally planned to walk down the West Side Highway but took an early turn down Greenwich Avenue. My favorite spot of the day was a walk bridge over the exit of the Holland Tunnel. It's where I took the picture of the boy walking across the cobble stone street.
Twice a year in the summer, the sun sets in near perfect alignment down the New York City street grid. I've been taking pictures of the event since 2008, when I first arrived in the city. This year I took pictures in Flat Iron on 23rd street.
It had been 4 years since the last time I was on the Brooklyn Bridge. I took my Citibike down to City Hall. It was an overcast and hot day but that didn't keep troves of tourists from making the pilgrimage between the two boroughs.
On Houston and Chrystie streets are a set of basketball courts. The weather had just started to warm up and the courts we're beginning to get crowded.
The day started in SoHo where I took the R train up to Madison Square Park. I snapped pictures around the park and on 25th street next to where I work.
I took a walk from SoHo all the way down to the construction site of Freedom Tower on a cold February day. A perfectly clear sky made a great backdrop for my pictures.
A cold winter day in Feburary throughout the West Village and SoHo
Shots around Greenwich Village and SoHo including the Saturday Houston St. Hockey crew.
Pictures on my way upstate and back home to the City.
From SoHo to the Lower East Side, I snapped a variety of pics on an overcast day. Downtown was alive on this particular Saturday from people playing basketball in the middle of the winter to a man playing a piano on West Broadway.
A trip that started in Washington Square park and found me traveling down the West Side Highway before ending up on Spring street.
A trip during the downtown between SoHo and the West Village left me with some of my favorite pictures of 2012.
One of my first days out using my new lens. Central Park is always one of my favorite places to take pictures, especially in the Winter and the Fall.
